Bovington Last Flight

It was a very dull afternoon when I was flying my aircraft, quite suddenly the visibility began to deteriorate, a rapidly descending sky fog engulfing everything including my aircraft and I was very lucky to land and recover same .

While this drama was unfolding we were aware of the noise of a light a/c circling around quite low and obviously lost, this went on for at least 30 minutes and then stopped.

When we got home we heard on the news that Graham Hill (the racing driver) had been killed in an air crash apparently running out of fuel and unable to find an airfield because of the fog.So near and yet so far
